Other two in the series Witch [link] Blossom [link] ===================================== Adventure with soft shading practice continues. I plan to do a set of 3 with different color theme for each. The first one is obviously blue, this one green, and the next one will be red/pink.
Hair is the most frustrating part, in both picking color for it and actual shading. Usually I'd shade skin and hair first, then move on to cloth etc., but for this one I finished almost everything else in this pic before I had idea how to tackle it. Green hair is just to unnatural, I guess
Still, I had quite a lot of fun figuring how to paint those gold buttons and other shiny parts, and I'm quite pleased they turned out better than expected.
Critique highly desired. I'll probably do some fixing later on after I pass from "wow, that looks cool" phase into "who the hell draw this crap" phase, so suggestions are very welcome
Lineart in pencil and ink, color in photoshop, Texture from Mayang Designed inspired by eLouai candybar dollmaker. to anyone who can figure out why there're wings in this.
Loving how you colored her hair the best.
Your shading is very good, like I said in the forums, my only thing with this is the line-art. Once you master line arts, your art is going to be totally amazing. I know it.
I love these inside a circle drawings that you do I really like the little antenna looking things coming out of her hair (I know that they actually are from the middle of a certain flower, but I dunno what to call them). You have great attention to detail with the wings, I really like those gold circular goodies are the base.
Great work

Thanks a lot for stopping by As for lineart, yeah, it's done with pen. I've tried it before but found digital inking to be very difficult, especially when making a long stroke. My hand's too unsteady Oh well, I guess the only remedy for this would be to practice more
