Also, I was confused a while after finishing this why the first stanza sounds familiar then figured it out. Opening paragraph for A Tale of Two Cities, anyone?

Critique especially welcome. Considering that I don't even know whether I submit this in right category or not, well I'm obviously in need of help. Also, English is not my first language, so most likely there's some grammatical mistakes I overlook and would be glad if someone points that out
